Contextualization in Practice
This session will answer the question: What does it really mean to be all things to all men? Over-contextualization can lead to the loss of the gospel, while under-contextualization can place unnecessary hindrances to the gospel. How are we to think about appropriate, God-honoring contextualization in mission work?
Vincent Kajuma serves on staff at Emmanuel Baptist Church Nairobi, Kenya. He is passionate about the local church, and longs to see well-trained pastors, healthy churches and joyful Christians. Vincent also teaches apologetics with Africa Centre for Apologetics Research. He and his wife, Maggie, have two children.
The focus of this session is placing ourselves in the history of missions. As the African church, we have gotten used to receiving missionaries, but we have not grown to see ourselves as mandated to send them out ourselves.
